The wineries

LA CASACCIA DI FRANCESCHI

Franceschi's La Casaccia Farm covers an area of about 15 hectares, developed on two territories: the Podere la Casaccia in Montalcino and Le Spinaie, in the municipality of Ciniano.

The cellar has been founded in the 1980s by the Franceschi family and today is managed with passion and dedication by Leopoldo Franceschi, assisted by his children Flavia and Federico.

La Casaccia di Franceschi's Brunello di Montalcino is one of the area's most appreciated wines, thanks to its elegance, depth and complexity.

Characterized by a deep ruby red color, an intense and persistent aroma with notes of berries and spices, in the mouth is rich, intense and structured, with soft tannins and a perfect harmony between acidity and flavor.

The company takes care of nature and the environment, using biological methods for crops and seeking a balance between ecology and finished-product performance.

Grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected

In the winery, the raw material is honored and enhanced with the use of the latest technology, such as the optical berry sorter, which allows the select only the best grapes for the production of their Brunello di Montalcino DOCG.

Products:

  • Brunello di Montalcino Riserva D.O.C.G La Casaccia di Franceschi: produced in the best years, making a limited quantity and selecting the ripest bunches during the harvest, and further sorting on the berries themselves.

TRICERCHI CASTLE

Tricerchi Castle is a historic estate located in the foothills of Montalcino, surrounded by vineyards and centuries-old woods.

The estate covers an area of about 400 hectares, 13 of which are planted with vineyards, with grapes of the Sangiovese type Big.

The company's vineyards extend on the northern slope of Montalcino, at an elevation of 290 m., where cooler temperatures and sharp temperature swings give the grapes a perfect balance.

Grapes come hand-selected and vinified with fermentation by indigenous yeasts and long maceration on the skins.

Refinement takes place in large Slavonian oak barrels, to enhance the terroir and typicality of Sangiovese di Montalcino, inside a cellar, located inside the castle dungeons, which offers a constant temperature thanks to the mighty walls.

Products:

  • Brunello di Montalcino D.O.C.G Castello Tricerchi: produced at 100% from Sangiovese grapes, aged for more than 2 years in oak barrels. Thanks to the hand-picking of the grapes, this Brunello is able to express the character and nobility of the production area.
